Grimes Governors Day Parade

Each year, as a church, we walk through the Grimes Governor’s Day Parade! This is a sweet time as a church family to pass out invite cards and popsicles to those in the crowd! We would love to have you join us!

Arrival & Parking: The parade will start at the south sports complex. There will be zero parking available at the Grimes Sport somplex. You have 2 options on how to get to the sports complex –

1. Option 1 – Arrive to the church & park before 8:59 😉 You can then ride the trailer out to the sports complex. We will be leaving the church promptly at 9:00.
2. Option 2 – park at the church or other places you desire in Grimes and be to the sports complex no later than 9:30. There has been parking at St. Peter’s Lutheran church – however the parade directors encouraged people to not “count” on that parking to be available for long. Please make plans accordingly.

1. 1. 1. 1. Please note as well, at the end of the parade, the float will go straight back to the church. Float will not be allowed back towards the sports complex

Please Bring:

1. 1. Reusable grocery bag/other bag to have the popsicles & invites in.
   2. Wear Harvest Gear if you have it! If you just recently ordered Harvest gear, see below
   3. Candy – We will have a few large bags of candy, but always seem to run out. If you would like to bring a bag or two of candy for the kids to throw that would be awesome!
   4. Sunscreen
   5. Water Bottles
