How I came into a relationship with Jesus Christ
I was blessed to be raised by parents who love the Lord. They were faithful in praying, sharing the gospel, and getting our family to church. On the way home from church one Sunday morning when I was 5 years old, I told my parents I wanted to surrender my life to Jesus and ask Him to be Lord of my life. After a discussion with my parents, I confessed and repented of my sins and placed my trust in the person and work of Jesus Christ. I have been walking with the Lord by God’s grace since that day. Though very much still a work in progress, I am so thankful that God has shown Himself faithful to finish the good work He started in me.
What I do at Harvest
I am a member of the pastor team and work with the rest of our team to help our church be full of disciple making disciples. I am thankful to participate in this through the ministry of the Word and prayer in a variety of settings. My primary roles in this are to oversee our Small Group ministry, to teach and lead our Harvest Student ministry, and to provide support for our Harvest Kids ministry.
Why I do what I do at Harvest
I love the Lord and his church! After college, I grew in my conviction that God desires to make himself known through the local church. The church ought to be a place where Christ is glorified through the proclamation of His Word, the practice of the biblical one-anothers, and the maturing and multiplication of disciples. I am thankful to be a part of a church of saints who, out of a love for God and His Word, values and prioritizes these things!
What I do in my spare time
I love spending time with my wife, Emily. We enjoy playing games together and spending time with our kids, Adleigh, Ellarose, and Oliver. Some of our favorite activities as a family include reading together, hosting friends for bonfires, and exploring God’s creation. I also have a background in sports medicine and enjoy all things related to health and wellness, especially participating in sports of any kind.
